The food industry represents a vast environmental burden to our planet. Most animal products are known have greater impacts than alternative plant-based sources of nutrition. One the most consumed eggs, represented in dietary habits both as primary ingredient and processed. In European Union (EU), eggs for consumption can be produced four different laying systems: enriched cages, barns, free-range, organic. past years, discussions about ethical perspective been ongoing among wider public, academia. However, essential comparison systems has missing region. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an excellent tool comparing various scenarios. Therefore, we performed LCA several egg-producing subjects Czech Republic, representative all systems. addition, these regulated were compared community garden system.
